Pygmalion! That's what this reminds me of. But with obsessive pubescent fantasy rather than sculpture.

This manga was hard for me to like at the beginning, but gotdamnit I fucking loved it by the end.

I had a great time with the jokes and the fact that midway in the story the author said fuck it to the shonen tropes and did what he wanted made the story jump from a 4 to an 8 immediately.

And oh, the ending... Fuuuuuuuuck. It broke my heart and almost made me tear up, my throat actually hurts for holding the tears, but I can't hate it. The ending alone made the story jump to a 9.

You MUST have balls to make an ending as definitive as that in a harem manga.

As I said, the start is rough but it pays off if you stick to it!

I fail to understand why ecchi dreck gets 8.5 ratings or above and this masterpiece gets a 7.5. I usually rate mangas lower than the norm as I believe high ratings (8+) should be given sparingly. But this is an easy 9/10. The story did not drag itself for dozens of chapters with meaningless dribble. The idea was a pleasant take on the Greek myth of Pygmalion, the sculptor whose creations came to life. The MC was some weak, but nonetheless deep enough with his passion of writing up a fictional character, this hobby of self-reflection one I respect. The ending was initially a letdown, with Fukko-San and MC breaking up, but mangaka immediately pulled a damn unique fourth wall break by having the manga itself be the writings of the mangaka. Totally unexpected, but in line with the story's theme! And of course, the ecchi was eye candy. At one point I had to put this down for a day just to process the events before moving on.

A must read story. It can be read within two hours, but is best read over some days to fully soak in the experience. 9/10.

Waifus are eternal, Michiru is a terrible character created by a boy with 5 years old, very plane 2d character, with only motivation by the MC, the second fictional character is a lot better
